ORTHODOX EASTER · HOLY SATURDAY, 11 APRIL

The Night the Bells Ring

At 22:45, guests meet in the Lobby for the walk to the Church of Panayia Theoskepasti — a short distance lit by the candlelight of arriving worshippers

At midnight, the church goes dark. From a single flame at the altar, light passes through the congregation — candle to candle, row by row — until the whole space is illuminated. The priest's announcement of the Resurrection, Christos Anesti, is the cue for the bells and for the walk back

Almyra holds the Midnight Supper: flaounes, tsourekia, magiritsa, avgolemono, and the annual ritual of cracking red eggs to mark the end of the fast.

CATHOLIC EASTER · GOOD FRIDAY, 3 APRIL

Good Friday by the Sea

In the afternoon, guests are welcome to join an escorted visit to the nearby Church of Agia Kyriaki for the Passion of Our Lord service — sacred readings, prayers, and the veneration of the cross. Meet at the Annabelle Lobby at 14:15

Mediterraneo opens for a Good Friday fasting lunch: a sharing-style Italian menu that honours the traditions of the day. The full Easter Sunday programme — including the egg hunt and the lunch — is in the brochure.

The Easter Egg Hunt

On Easter Sunday morning, the Grotto becomes the starting point for the Easter Egg Hunt — the moment the younger guests have been waiting for since breakfast. The hunt begins at 11:00. Reservations recommended.
