There is a multitude of reasons why Paphos was the European Capital of Culture a few years ago. Opera is still staged against the medieval castle. Ancient Greek drama is performed at the Odeon, as it always has historically. There is a working theatre up in Ktima, a sculpture park at Lemba, and potters, weavers and basket-makers still perfecting their craft to this day.
