Few cities of Paphos’s size carry this much ancient ground. 3000+ years of settlement sit within an hour’s walk of the harbour: the UNESCO park at Kato Paphos with its mosaic floors, the necropolis that cuts into the sea cliffs, the fortress the Crusaders never finished. Most of it is close enough to reach on foot from the hotel, and worth going back to more than once.
