This year Annabelle’s Atrium becomes a festive Christmas market featuring handmade crafts and homemade delicacies. Open on three special occasions, the market presents locally-made items like pottery, textiles, and Christmas postcards. Choose a gift for that special someone as you enjoy a cup of mulled wine. Meanwhile, our pianist plays a range of seasonal favourites to get you into the holiday spirit. Our pastry chefs are preparing delicious holiday cookies, gingerbread, and chocolates for your enjoyment. Be sure to check out the seasonal decorations in the adjacent Lobby—master baker Doros Nearchou has assembled a large-scale gingerbread train that is sure to delight you. Indeed, you may want to linger and indulge in our daily afternoon tea service; it includes a range of starters, a selection of holiday sweets, and homemade scones (€18 per person, €30 per couple). The market opens on 21, 26, and 30 December from 15:30 to 17:30.
The holidays are a time for gathering with friends and loved ones and sharing traditions. Walk into the Lobby of Annabelle and you’ll be embraced by the holiday spirit—Christmas décor, live holiday music, and a large-scale gingerbread train constructed by master baker Doros Nearchou will put you in the mood for celebration. We’re eager to share with you our favourite Cypriot traditions, including tastings of local wines, live cooking demonstrations, a Laiko Panayiri programme in our taverna, and a historical drama about the last queen of Cyprus.
Join us for a seasonal afternoon tea or a holiday cocktail. And be sure to make reservations for our gala meals for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve (kindly contact Guest Services on 26885473 for assistance).
Let Annabelle become part of your tradition for the season’s celebrations!

Sundays are now Fisherman’s Night at Mediterraneo, Annabelle’s taverna by the sea. All offerings on the four-course menu are meant to be shared around the table. Start off your meal with an appetiser such as octopus carpaccio with olive oil and fresh basil or grilled scallops with citrus and cilantro. The second course is a seafood platter: we present Brittany oysters, prawns, and snow crab legs with saffron mayonnaise, fresh lemon, and infused vinegar with shallots on the side. For the main course, try our distinctive preparations of local calamari sautéed with spiced tomato salsa, red tuna steak grilled with garlic and parsley, or mussels steamed “Axinista” style. Vegetarian accompaniments are available. For dessert, choose from portokalopita (a traditional Greek cake made from yoghurt, oranges, and filo) or chocolate ravani cake.
A reservation is recommended; contact Guest Services or Reception for assistance.

Annabelle, the grande dame of UNESCO-listed Paphos, is nearing the completion of her 10 million Euro renovation. Sensitively implemented over the last two years to ensure minimal disruption, it’s the biggest renovation in the hotel’s 30-year history.

Due for completion in March 2018, works will commence this winter on the final stages of the project: the addition of Paphos’ only rooftop pool, bar and restaurant.
The new rooftop area will include:
- An indoor pool overlooking the bay
- A new bay-view bar, restaurant and lounge with indoor and outdoor seating
- A wellness centre with sauna, gym and four treatment rooms (including a couples’ spa suite)
- Panoramic rooftop views across the Mediterranean and amazing sunsets.
Highlights of the new rooftop area include:
- Creation of a year-round sundrenched sanctuary
- Floor to ceiling glass doors: closed in winter for cosying up next to the roaring fire and open in summer to bask in the sunshine and breathe in the sea air
- Dual spa access: Annabelle guests will retain access to Almyraspa – at Annabelle’s adjacent sister property, Almyra – but for the first time in the hotel’s history, will also enjoy state-of-the-art wellness facilities of their own.

To ensure minimum disruption to guests and completion of works for the summer season, Annabelle will be closing her doors from January 4 to March 10 2018.
There’s a steady drumbeat of artistic activity at Annabelle this summer. Join us for dinner at our seaside restaurant, Mediterraneo, and your meal will be accompanied by vocal and string music (nightly from 19:30 to 22:30); our Laiko Paniyiri Traditional Night, featuring folk music and dancing, is a crowd pleaser. Perhaps you’d like to dance in the light of the moon? On Thursdays (21:00-23:00), our Amphitheatre overlooking the sea plays host to Bossa Blue, a three-piece band featuring drums, double bass, guitar, and vocals that offers an international selection of danceable tunes; we’ll have a nice selection of wines and cocktails on hand to enhance the romantic, relaxed atmosphere. If you’re in need of some visual stimulation, come to our weekly Movie Night (Sundays at 21:00 at poolside). We present a different movie each week along with an offering of à la carte beverages, popcorn, and nachos. Check with Guest Services for details of the weekly arts schedule.
Annabelle’s signature fine-dining restaurant, Amorosa, has been nominated by Time Out magazine for its annual Eating Award honoring the best hotel restaurant in Cyprus. Fresh from a renovation connecting indoor and outdoor dining spaces, Amorosa provides a serene setting and attentive service. Our executive chef Laurent Brun creates a daily à la carte menu, drawing on modern European culinary influences and using fresh locally-harvested ingredients. During the month of July, we feature a Wines of the World series: each Saturday, our sommelier George Kassianos works with the chef to pair three wines from a noted region with complementary dishes. Help recognize the efforts of our devoted staff by casting your vote for Amorosa—the ballot is available online. For reservations for the Wines of the World series or for regular dinner service, contact Guest Relations.
